It’s invasive species

It may look pretty but it’s a problem, especially for canals and rivers. The big pods pop like crazy if you touch them, spreading their seeds far and wide. The plants smell odd at this time of year and remind me of being near home in Lancashire where we have lots of these plants near rivers.
