Solace Day 3 - Morning on The Canal

A pleasant day on the Trent & Mersey. Today we travelled through the potteries area of Stoke on Trent and we moored for the night beside Westport Lake. Frank came to see us to mend the water pump but couldn't. An 'O' ring had been missed out of the assembly and none of his spares fitted. We will have a pan-filling session to see us through the night then turn the power supply off again.

We also hoped he had the knack required to start the central heating as we were all feeling cold by now and our clothing was wet. No, he couldn't do that, either. For the first time ever on the boat, we cleared our stuff from around the stove and burned some logs. The Man and I had a comfortably warm night as we sleep in the lounge area.
