nature and wildlife
It's been a busy week with the "kids" they certainly keep you going with their shared passion for walking and eating. They have averaged over 20k steps each day whilst we chose shorter routes and less ascent. We shared the eating pleasures at a different restaurant each note, we hoped to come up with a favourite but it was too difficult as they were all so good, whether pub grub or fine dining, they all excel. Even so today I have felt tired so we had a gentle day doing a bit of touring around Hawkeshead (stock up on our fave jams and relishes) and Grasmere. The youngsters also chilled out with a spa day here at Langdale before setting off home this evening as Dan is playing football in a charity match tomorrow.
As I have been doing a lot of landscape shots this week I also indulged in a bit of birding this morning. I was undecided whether to make he main blip the robin or the rook. The other extra is on Windermere.
