The dropped stitch

Not sure if the photo captures it, but in the distance there were ribbons of clouds, almost looking like snow.

It was a lovely drive north. There was more traffic than on Saturday night travelling down but today I could enjoy the scenery.

I left early, because knowing I had to wake up early I couldn't sleep. Still, it was good to have extra time for the journey.

A coffee and freshly baked cheese scone at The Storehouse near Evanton was very welcome as the eye lids began to feel a bit heavy.

Home, and a couple of hours work this afternoon. It was almost as if I'd never been away.... But not really, because my head is full of so many happy memories from that mad, spur of the moment, road trip.
