Fresh as a daisy

not.......bit of a damp squib kinda day today!

After my presentation at camera club last night I found it difficult to switch off so didnt have a great nights sleep.....the rain was hammering on the windows around 3am!! Needless to say I ended up sleeping in a little this morning.

Walked into town mid morning, very damp and dank......not my favourite kind of weather at all, makes me feel a bit flat to be honest. We called into Reds Cafe for an early lunch & coffee, always nice.

Once back home we decided the front garden needed some more attention. I had already pruned the magnolia tree a little a few days ago, but couldnt reach the top branches.....so we did that between us.....being careful not to knock off any of the new buds that are forming, doesn't seem to be very many so far.
Filled the green bin and half of next doors too ;-)

The garden is gradually turning autumnal, yellows and golds appearing every where, which is always nice to see, against the reds and oranges of certain leaves.

Todays blip caught my eye as this little daisy was looking very perky and pretty in amongst the damp yellowing grass.

Made a chicken mushroom and pasta bake for dinner this evening,......not sure I am going to have lost any weight tomorrow night at class. Saturday and yesterday were not good days, plus the after effects of last Thursdays Afternoon Tea too......feels like zim losing my mojo a little, which is so frustrating with only 4.5lbs to go........ need to give myself a good talking to!!!
