Panorama from Eycott Hill Reserve
I spent the morning getting ready for our trip on Solace starting Friday and for Katkatkat arriving on Wednesday. I the afternoon I needed to pop into town for something, on the way back I decided I deserved a breath of fresh air so I headed for Eycott Hill reserve.
The reserve is run by Cumbria Wildlife Trust it includes among its attractions an SSSI, very mixed and interesting geology, wild flower meadows and upland habitat to be restored to something nearer it natural condition after decades of attempts to improve it for agriculture.
The shot is a panorama taken from near the car park, Blencathra is to the left and Carrock fell to the right.
