Same old, same old.....

A wee surprise when I fed the spring calvers this morning. The one cow that didn’t calve earlier in the year had eventually decided to pop out this wee heifer calf. Of course it hadn’t sucked , had it , so managed to sling it over the quad bike petrol tank and get the cow to follow us into the steading. Luckily she had a fair bag of colostrum so once I had milked out enough to bottle feed the calf I managed to get another couple of litres to chuck in the deep freeze for future emergencies .
Went down the road tonight to feed the cattle , and as usual that brought the rain on. It is now chucking it down . How come the forecast is always right when it’s says it’s going to rain and hardly ever right when it says it will stay dry ?
