Whoops

In the top picture they are sailing along nicely with the safety boat nearby.

Then, whoops. In the lower shot something has not gone according to plan.

My extra shows that someone in Arnside has a sense of humour. This quite tall lamp standard shows that there is no parking below it. Getting the cone up there was quite a feat. It is opposite the pub and late on a Friday night anything can happen. I doubt it could have been lifted by the pigeon hovering above it.

I missed the hovercraft. I am not sure that it came. They are very valuable for rescues on the quicksands when the tide is out. But as there is little friction between the craft and the ground, strong winds can blow them off course.
