Lots of Hallowe'en decorations appearing around R's neighbourhood! It was a lovely day for a walk with her and Coop, sunny and cool.

First extra: A great win for the team last night - 3 sets to 2 to win the match. Kalyn's high school volleyball coach, Dave, brought his current junior and senior high school teams to watch "one of their own" who put in all the hard work to play at the uni level, and K did not disappoint!  She started and played every set. "Freshman Kalyn Hartmann produced outstanding results with 10 kills, while hitting at a .533 percent clip." (on the SFU team website) At the end of the game, Kalyn gave Dave a big hug and had a quick chat with the girls. Dave asked K to have her picture taken with the team. Very cool! A great role model for young players.
