Not a Pretty Site.

On my walks this morning I saw that they were cutting these trees down.
They are or were big gum trees at the Canterbury University, but apparently in big winds branches have been coming down, and for safety reasons they have to take the trees down. Such a shame I have always like the way they stood so majestically on this hill.
They look so ugly stripped bare at the moment.
At least they have not created the problems like in Australia with all the bush fires they are having there. My heart goes out to the people affected by them.
Although we have had dull skies most of the day, there has been a strong nor'wester and it has been very hot.
