World's oldest football

Our Australian visitors were amazed to find the world oldest football in a small museum in Stirling.
 
The football was found in the rafters of Stirling castle and is believed to date back to the 1540s.  
 
Our visitors were even more surprised to find themselves the only visitors in the Smith museum, and I was embarrassed to have to apologise that even though we had arrived at one minute past 4 o’clock the café was closed.
 
PS Re gifts.   We are now the proud owners of a kangaroo skin and an Aboriginal boomerang.
