The past 48 hours have been very difficult.
All of us wanted to get home as quickly as possible.
I’m always pleased to see my animals after being away from them but never before have I experienced a huge wave of relief to be back with them again.

Today was the funeral of my friend who died at the end of last month.
The little village church was packed, demonstrating how well regarded and loved she was.
During her illness she organised her final farewell, with wonderful words and poems added by her family members.
The last piece of music was
‘Lark Ascending’ played by Nigel Kennedy.
