Robin

Scone Palace 12:02

A late start this morning meant we'd stay close to home, which isn't exactly a hardship with a wander round the grounds of Scone Palace in search of the Resident Hawfinches.

Peacock, Blackbird & Robin were posing nicely for us before I caught sight of a single Hawfinch high in a tree. It flew off but soon we'd located two Hawfinches along with four Greenfinches. The remainder of our time we had good views of various birds flitting among the tree tops through the telescope, but they were always quite distant and high for anything other than record shots on the camera. Couldn't actually say how many birds we'd seen. Three was the maximum in any one spot, but I'm certain there was more. A Great Tit from Longshanks and a Treecreeper were the other birds of interest today.
