In the jungle, the mighty jungle . . .

Woke up to rain this morning, as expected, and set off for the Eden Project, as previously decided. First we went on a guided tour of the Core Building with an enthusiastic young man who talked about man and microbes - much food for thought.

The Mediterranean Biome was rather too touristy for my liking, but the original Tropical Biome was amazing. I hadn't been up to the viewing platform in the roof of the dome before - quite spectacular!

To my own amazement I came away with only one plant! Actually there wasn't a great deal to tempt me, but I did buy a nice specimen of Beschorneria septentrionalis - not the plant in the picture; I don't know that is.
