Sunrise.

“AWAKE ! for Morning in the Bowl of Night
Has flung the Stone that puts the Stars to Flight:
And Lo ! the Hunter of the East has caught
The Sultan's Turret in a Noose of Light.”
While I don’t pretend to understand even a half of the epic Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, I love the imagery of this first stanza.
Today’s extra of the morning light reaching Grangemouth has a blue-ish cast, due in think to the UV lens filter which lives permanently on the camera’s business end. Much easier and cheaper to replace a broken filter than a broken lens!
