Glittering
We drove down to Orbetello nature reserve - a WWF site of salt lagoons. Not the easiest place to find lost between a coastline of campsites and beech umbrellas. This was taken from a gravel road that ran to a fisherman’s house. Lots of samphire.
At the official site we saw plenty of over-wintering flamingoes and an osprey.
A short visit but we will go back as more flamingoes arrive.
Back at the beach the waves were up to a metre and we met up with the CALs for a splash. Amazing to not be frozen in October.
Extra of an empty beach looking towards the Gulf of Talamone
