Designed by Sophia Lorens husband this oasis of calm has restored us two years running. We left for the drive back through Tuscany’s ever changefull scenery. The austere Maremma, the absurdity of the Crete Sienese, the rollingness of the Chiana valley and the enclosingness of our high-walled, safe-homed Casentino. Sun walled to wallingness.
