In the interests of transparency...

Out on some local roads for a quick 12 mile spin, and more ups and downs, there really is very little 'flat' round these parts! And as I hit the homecoming climb of Piccadilly - a rutted, gravelly, wet, narrow country lane - I got into a suitably low gear and prepared for battle. But, as that 15% gradient ramped up to 25% and my back wheel started losing traction and my front wheel started lifting off the ground I said to mesen, "I don't actually think I'm gonna make this". So, I very elegantly just leaned/flopped into the hedgerow, unclipped and walked it.

After eggs and coffee and background viewing of A Sunday In Hell, it was time to leave, get on the train and wind my way back Nothwards. My pal isn't on blipfoto  but he might read this. If you do - cheers mate for a great few days :-)
