Winter Glory - Trees in Silhouette

At this time of year trees look so bare and sometimes uninteresting. But give them the right backdrop and they come to life. Was working away when I happened to look out the window and saw the start of what promised to be a lovely sunset - lovely bits of pink in the sky. By the time I got out - just a few minutes later - it had changed. Initially I felt a wee bit disappointed that a) I hadn't captured it as it was a few minutes before and b) that it wasn't turning into the bright red sunset that I was expecting it to. Then as I looked up the hill and saw the trees I realised that I hadn't missed anything - it was just different and just as beautiful.
