A Guindonesque lunch
The best lunchtime place in Ottawa is hard to judge, but Sanguiccio on Preston Street has to be right up there. (Provided you are in no rush, don't mind wedging yourself in to a chair, moving a couple of boxes off the table, etc. etc.)
Fortunately, I don't mind any of these things, and so I organize most of my lunchtime catch ups there. Today, the world's best self-taught sculptor joined me, and we spent two hours talking about his recent trip to Australia, his recent reading of Sodoma, by Frédéric Martel, and just how good the meatball sandwiches prepared by il maestro Genio were.
It's good to have André back in the country.
