More oysters!

At the village market this morning Mr F bought 3 kilos of misshapen, curled or otherwise not fitting into the recognised sizing catagories, for 12€. A bargain we thought, until we counted them and realised he'd been given 43 oysters! An even better bargain!
After a day of weeding, I managed around eight of them, with chopped shallot in home made red wine vinegar, and several glasses of wine! Then we had cod in a caper and sun dried tomato crust on a bed of mashed potatoes, and lemon surprise pudding. You can't say we don't treat our friends/gardening volunteers (just Mike this week) well!
