Day 2
Conkering (sic) Concarneau
Arrived late afternoon yesterday afternoon to winds, mist, showers and *very* high tides hitting against the sea walls. Fun to watch.
Woke up this morning to blue(ish) skies and whiled away a good few hours exploring the Ville Close which is on an islet accessed by a small bridge and surrounded by ramparts and where we enjoyed a rather fine lunch involving scallops in creamy cheesy sauce followed by sardines with a local cake to finish.
After a short rest we walked through woods (strewn with conkers) and residential district to pick up croissants for breakfast and a light supper.
Looking forward to exploring more of Finisterre for the rest of this week.
