All Together Now
Here you have the Yeovil players celebrating with the fans after this afternoon's exhilarating 3-1 win at home to League leaders, Bromley, our 7th win in a row which moved us temporarily up to 2nd.
This was the first home game since the club was taken over by new owners who were presented to the biggest crowd of the season (nearly 4000) before the game and once again there was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the game., despite the early collision between our striker and their goalkeeper which saw both men knocked out and the keeper stretchered off to hospital with a suspected ruptured shoulder joint. The game was delayed for 19 minutes while they made sure he was safe enough to move.
I was born and bred in Bromley and supported the club as a teenager so it was good to see my boyhood team down here at Huish Park, though I didn't experience any divided loyalties.
With new owners, a new manager and a committed squad of players, there's a real sense of unity at the club now which has been missing for the last few seasons; the fans were chanting "We've got our Yeovil back" at the end of the game.
This morning, Tess, Chris & I did the park run and Chris was pleased to run quicker than last week's first attempt.
