Tide's out.
A walk down to " our beach" Perranuthnoe, this morning.
Just a couple of miles from where my mum and dad lived when they retired to Cornwall back in 1969, and where we spent many happy hours with the boys when they were little.
Today we had the place almost to ourselves. May be because the car park charge is now £4. although the surfers had started to arrive just as we left.
As the tide was quite far out, I managed to find the famous rock pool.
( extra photo) Our DIL Sarah will know what I mean.
There are many rock pools, but this one was always special, and many hours were spent sat there catching tiny crabs, prawns, and little fishes.
We walked part way along the coastal path to Mr C's favourite seat, which has a wonderful view of the bay, and the Mount.
Back for lunch, and then the plan was to go for a walk, but the rain has been torrential, so have been watching the cycling in Yorkshire, where you are having glorious sunshine!
I was pleased at the end they mentioned Beryl Burton. The girl from Morley, Leeds.
Britain's greatest ever female rider.
Looking forward to this evening as Graham and Carol are taking us into Penzance. Graham is in the Marazion Apollo Male Voice Choir, and tonight they are giving a charity concert, joined by the Hereford Police MVC . I know two friends back in Yorkshire who would love to be there with us. xx
