Tyntesfield

A day of travelling to Devon. Always a long journey from North Yorkshire so we try to call in to a NT property to stretch stiff limbs and give Jet a walk. Heavy showers punctuated our journey south and our visit but we were glad of the break.

The house whilst impressive with a large attached chapel was not looking its best in the gloomy and wet conditions but this planter caught my eye for Flower Friday.

We were very relieved to arrive at our accommodation, a converted barn near Burrator reservoir where we are Orienteering over the weekend. I always feel better after a hot cuppa and a decent meal. As we are close to the event we can have a relaxed start tomorrow. However given the weather forecast for the weekend was slightly envious when the owner mentioned she is flying to Crete for the week leaving her husband in charge of the children and us!
