Pier posters

Found myself with a unexpected hour or so to spare in Stromness. Rain was bucketing down so I lingered over a coffee then went for a wander around the Pier Arts Centre.

It’s the 40th anniversary of this wonderful contemporary art gallery and they have been celebrating by showing exhibits from the collection that haven’t been on display recently. They also have a display of posters and advertising of the exhibitions from the past 40 years. I don’t suppose it’s surprising, given that I’m a graphic designer, but I found this fascinating. Great to see the development over the life of the gallery.
