A morning of little trips

1. The dentist
2. The local council tip
3. The Salvation Army charity shop
4. The supermarket
5. The petrol station

After the dentist and before I came home via the tip I made a quick visit to Maxwell Park pond. The water was perfectly still and the regular inhabitants, coots and mallards, were paddling effortlessly in and out of the reeds. In among the regulars I spotted the odd one out.

This is a female Teal duck. Her colouring is very similar to a female mallard but she is much smaller and has a more delicate beak.
