Gills
Struck down from behind by a dodgy neck and migraine I was sent to my pit while Mrs Bootneck took the hound of the flying fur for a wander. Being a good sort she spotted these and picked them for me.
I think they are Miicromphale foetidum, poisonous, usually found on dead deciduous wood, usually Hazel. The dark stems aid identification as does the "strong smell of rotting cabbage" and there was me giving herself funny looks. :-))
In other news.........
the doctor's surgery was full of the weirdest folk. Poor docs were under enormous pressure. Apparently people had been going in with shopping lists of illnesses acquired over the holiday period.
Possibly better larger.
