Main meals of the last 7 day’s
My main evening meals for the last seven days. Each meal contains at least 750g of home grown allotment vegetables with boiled or baked beetroot and polytunnel tomatoes featuring in all of them. The other vegetables (usually a mix of carrots, onions, French&runner beans, baby squash and baby corn) are steamed and topped with fresh parsley, coriander and fennel.There is an absence of red meat with two dishes including baked chicken breast and two steamed haddock. The other three have cheese as the non vegetable protein source. Tonight’s meal was a little different as it included a pack of mushroom mince - we’ll it was yellow label in Sainsbury’s, like the chicken breast, and you know me : I can’t resist a bargain
