Monday: State Archives

I had read somewhere that, on weekdays, you can ring up for a tour around the Croatian State Archives.  I gave it a go and, lo and behold, it's true.  K. and I were shown round by two lovely lads, Alex and Tihomir.  Apparently all the usual guides were away - Alex and Tihomir spoke good English and so were designated to show us around.  They usually work in IT, but said that between them, they probably amounted to one guide......

The building is stunning - a lovely example of secessionist (you wouldn't believe how many variations of that word I have just typed before I got it right) architecture.  

And tomorrow, back to work and normality.
