Village life
Two of my travelling companions on their way into Sitras' house (see my blip for 4th Jan). You go in through the pandopo, an open space with a roof but no walls, used for ritual. Here there is a gamelan orchestra, with a full stage behind, on one side of the pandopo, because this is a centre for performance.
Today we did a walking meditation through the fields and to 3 small 9th century temples. This did, almost inevitably, involve getting soaked by the rain in the afternoon - all part of the rich experience we're having.
