Sunday: Blackberry Vodka & New Potatoes
Woke up to a dry morning, weather still pleasantly warm.
First job was emptying the last 2 tubs of potatoes “Pentland Crown” - tonight’s dinner!
Collected a small tub full of blackberries growing at the edge of the garden then went onto our access road and collected lots more.
Made 6 jars of blackberry & Bramley Apple jam and a large jar of Blackberry Vodka, using cheap vodka from Lidl.
Picked a handful of runner beans which will be very nice for dinner, MrD prefers baked beans! Cooked the beans with piece of courgette from mid-week, remainder of courgette cut up and frozen. More flowers on runner beans so may get a few more to eat ...
MrD washed the salt from the Irish beach off his motorbike ...
The rain arrived midday so relaxing afternoon...
Good night all x
