Lazy girl

On this grey and wet day, Smudge has spent the last six hours in the same position. She has not moved from the fleece throw that is folded up on the sofa.

We had planned to go to the Mexican Festival/cactus show at Lullingstone Castle today. But the rain put us off, and I have spent the day indoors. Like Smudge I also had an afternoon nap.

Today is the last day of official summer on the Northern Hemisphere. Tomorrow is the Autumn Equinox and the days will be getting shorter and the nights darker earlier.
