Cropped

Chris joined Tess & me at the park run for the first time this morning, meaning that we've now run it with our son, daughter and granddaughter; one of the great things about the park run is that people of all ages and abilities can join in, run at their own pace and have fun. Chris posted a very respectable time too.

This afternoon we picked as many of the apples we could reach on our tree without using the ladder; we've picked about seven big boxes already, so plenty of freezing to be done.

After that I listened to the second half of Yeovil's game away to Solihull Moors while I was preparing dinner. Once again we produced another battling performance, winning 1-0 and hanging on for 11 minutes of added time with 10 men after our goalkeeper was injured and had to go off after we'd already used all our subs. Our centre back, who had earlier scored the goal then had a blow in the face that left him covered in blood, went in goal and produced a stunning late save to preserve our lead. That's 5 wins in a row now.

Last night it was announced that the takeover of the club had been completed, so there's a very positive feel about the club at the moment.
