Petals and stamen!

I love these flowers and I spent ages trying to get a good macro of one of them. It frustrated me that I couldn't get more of the flower in focus! It is a tiny flower as well so had to get as close as possible to get the stamen in focus at all. Any advice from some of you macro whizzes?
I do love the iridescent petals they seemed to sparkle with the light.
