I was going out the door to get some green veg from the garden and looked up to the hill and could see three white breasted birds high in the trees.  Any New Zealand photographer would recognise that sight as Kereru or Native Pigeon.  Big game for me.  I walked up the hill as close as I dared.  Tony a neighbour came up behind me and help spot for me.   They were happy feeding on the tree lucerne. Not very good light and not close enough but a neat way to end the day.  Better go get that Silverbeet now.
