Climate Strike - Liverpool

I was pleased to be able to get along to the Climate Strike rally in Liverpool today. It felt good to be part of a global outpouring of anger - and of hope. A change, at least, from my more myopic day-to-day obsession with the impacts of the Brexit fiasco...

Great to hear some articulate and impassioned speeches from the young people who led today’s protest! What a mess they’re inheriting from us on so many fronts...

It’s been a hot day. Something not lost on any of the protesters, I’m sure. Temperatures we still think of as ‘unseasonably warm’ for late September are fast becoming the norm.
