Diary of an Edinburgher

New toy

Off into the Apple Shop for my 11am appointment. Along with about 50 others! Didn’t take long to deal with the queue, though. Then I went upstairs for them to assist me copying everything from my 'old' phone. I know it's straightforward, but I’d rather have and Apple 'genius' on hand.

And so, armed with my new phone with three lenses, I went to the Gardens to have a wee play (Extras). But I was so worried that I’d drop it - I did that when I got the new phone last time. So I went down later in the afternoon to the Meadows so not too much damage if I dropped it on the grass.

I was SO hot'n'bothered when I got home with my prize. Edinburgh doesn’t suit hot weather. The (new) buses don’t have windows which open, the heating was on, standing room only (single decker bus) and progress is dead slow and stop. Several roads are closed - the Climate Protest (10,000 strong) and filming 'Fast and Furious'. I could walk faster. I asked the driver when I got out why the heating was on... he said it was turned off!

I watched the recorded first RWC game - Japan vs Russia. And a good game it was too. Big day tomorrow with at least three matches I need to watch. Whooppee!
