Much Loved Mini
A breezy day, loads of drizzle showers, and the very odd sunny spell.
I've been working on the museum desk again. A steady day of visitors. My whole morning was spent sorting out and setting up for a wedding that takes place on Saturday, and more events starting tomorrow. Some walkies with Sammy this evening, but it's mostly been a lazy evening by the fire, and telly on.
Popped down to mam's at lunchtime, to feed the cat. I couldn't find him at first, so checked all garages and sheds, he was outside after all! Nipped into uncle Leonard's garage, and my favourite car sits there. My uncle John owned it all my life, but he sold it to Leonard a few years ago. John used to take his peats home in it, work car and also aunt Joan used it too. The back seat was a plastic leather, and when aunt Joan flew around corners, we'd slide for side to side. Many happy memories in this Mini. Uncle Leonard has the engine running, just needs to finish off the bodywork. Growing up with minis, meant I had one too and will do again. This is a 1972 Morris Mini Van, reg CPS 68L. Taken at Aith, Cunningsburgh.
