Aidan was a class mate of mine at law school, gaining a first despite nearly being taken from us with meningitis during his studies. Lord Hodge, one of the eleven judges on the bench, was also a class mate of ours. So, I felt close to proceedings in more ways than one, with a notable sense of pride in my peers.
