Nature Diary... Aeonium Kiwi Plants
I have a quietly increasing collection of cacti and succulents which silently reproduce while I’m busy with my own life. When I first bought the Aeonium pictured on the left, the top of it was no taller than the pot it’s in now. Not long afterwards it had not only grown several inches but it had dropped some leaves. Again, without my interfering in any way, the dropped leaves started to produce new plants. As the new plants grew a little I re-potted them into a miniature flower pot to let them establish some more roots. Yesterday I had a careful look at them and thought they looked a bit needy so I decided it was time to re-pot them again.
Here is the result, with the juvenile plants in a lovely artisan goblet next to the parent plant in the bright flower pot.
