The Lighthouse 10K

Today I ran a 10K with Jane C. (pictured). I was entirely under-trained/not trained at all. I thought I'd just see what I could do. I ended up finishing in just under an hour, at about a 9.5 minute mile pace, which isn't bad, considering.

More importantly, though, was the view!! The entire race ran along the Promenade at Sea Point, so there were waves crashing right up against the trail. It was definitely the most beautiful road race I've ever run.

Patrick and Sophia came to cheer us on and afterwards we enjoyed greasy Chinese noodles at a local take-out. mmmmm....
