Colchester Castle

Colchester Castle is set to close for 14 months so SarahClem and I set off for one last explore before the major refurb kicks in! This is the bottom of the staircase that leads to the vaults beneath what was once the Temple of Claudius then later the largest Norman castle in Europe.

It has been a full and good weekend, I've spent time with friends, had a date with someone I met last month and the CITV old skool programmes have been a joy, however I was hit by some dreadful news tonight about a uni friend who is battling cancer again despite having had a double mastectomy in 2008. Her chemo treatment will take her up until April and I feel useless but it is important to stay positive and have hope.
