A perennial problem
The pear tree is prolific each year producing hundreds of fruits all of which are small and hard. They are not great to eat and we have tried juicing them but with no real success. This year we have poached them and they are then quite reasonable. However, there are only so many pears you can eat. There are hundreds still left on the the tree, most of which are high and inaccessible. They will once again be dug into the ground which always seems a bit of a shame.
