Time for the compost heap

I reckon, not my orchid though. The plant is quite healthy apart from the very sad looking flower spike, and will no doubt treat J&V to more blooms.
Early walk this morning as I was off to a craft fair in Exeter with a friend. Millie mingled with the other dogs stretching their legs in Armada Park then back to base. We like to have a nose in peoples gardens to see what's looking good, and what's neglected as we walk back. Carolyn arrived on the dot of ten. Managed to park relatively easily, then walked straight past the entrance to The Corn Exchange where the fair was taking place. Whoops! Paid our £2 entrance fee, not too many customers but we were early so hopefully they would do well. Some interesting crafts I'd never seen before. Ropecraft necklaces were pretty wacky, Fimo jewellery, bees wax food wrappers,  plus the usual ceramics, photographic prints, vintage jewellery.
Then we set off for a coffee, popped into a couple of charity shops in search of beads. Nothing suitable. Coffee & a shared Lotus cheesecake at Pizza Express, not a place I would normally go to for coffee but they had plenty of seating outside in the sunshine facing Exeter cathedral. Coffee was great, cheesecake was disappointing, it was the size of a single Lotus Biscoff biscuit, and comprised of a digestive biscuit base, followed by a layer of cheesecake, with a Biscoff biscuit perched on top. £5.25. we walked up through the city. Many new students arriving for uni wandering around, some with parents carrying odds & sods purchased to set their kids up in their digs. Id told Carolyn that you could buy the Biscoff biscuits in Poundland, & there ahead of us was Poundland. Well it would have been rude not to. :) We also bought a Twin Peaks chocolate bar each. Oh dear! I'm leading C into bad habits ... biscuits & chocolate. Two foods that I can take or leave, but a nice little treat occasionally.
Travelling back in the car, we're stopped at red traffic lights in a one way system, the car ahead has obviously got in the wrong lane so on the lights turning green, it momentarily made to turn left towards what would have been oncoming traffic, realised at the last minute & rejoined the lane, the next traffic light turned green and it did turn left, C honked her horn, but they merrily drove on, if traffic had been coming up, they would have more than likely  been hit and so would we. Possibly the worse ever piece of driving I've witnessed in this country. I saw reckless, irresponsible driving every day in Thailand, but then probably more than half of them did'nt have a driving licence, or insurance. Went to C's home picked out a few green beads that she had to complete my little project then home to Millie. A glorious afternoon, sat in the garden. Hubby came down, we had a drink in the local beer garden, then back for dinner.
