Gales over 60mph through the night, and still gales all day today.  They have calmed, but still windy.  Showers this morning, with a brighter sunny afternoon and evening. 

I've been working at the Croft House Museum all day.  It was quiet first thing, but a rush for an hour at 11am.  A quiet afternoon, with only two visitors.  Popped along bro Jonny and family on my way home.  A quiet evening at home, some walkies, and some telly. 

I was heading for a coastal walk at lunchtime, but came across a few gates that put me off with the car.  As I came by the mill, the cows were just getting out from an evening in the byre.  They were happy to get back into the fresh grass, and fresh air again.  As I walked up the old farm track, I must have given this cow a surprise, judging by her look.  Taken at Quendale dairy farm, next to Quendale Mill.
