Rousing the troops
This afternoon I went over to the castle to see the re-enactment by part of the Sealed Knot. Manchester's Regiment of Foote portrayed the seige from 1643 when the Parliamentary forces attacked the castle in th English Civil War.
They were very authentic and professional. As well as the seige and living history tents they demonstrated the soldiers drilling and fighting with pikes and muskets and the firing of the cannon.
The extra is of musket firing.
