Angle Shades Moth

Today I've been digging up plants that I want to keep when the landscape gardener comes on Monday.

I'd grown a cucumber in a pot that had finished fruiting so I pulled it out to put in the compost. Underneath the foliage was this beautiful Angle Shades moth. As soon as I'd photographed it I covered it up again as I'd hate a predator to have it for tea! Hopefully it will fly away tonight.
