Nuthatch

We had lunch with my BIL today, my nephew and his wife are on the Isle of Harris and unfortunately for them the gales and storms seem to have come early this year.  Previously they've enjoyed lovely weather in September but it's so bad this year that they may decide to return home early.

This Nuthatch was probably the best turned out bird I saw today, I blipped Goldfinch, bullfinch, Chaffinch and Blue tits but they were either juveniles who hadn't yet developed the adult plumage, or adults who were moulting.
