Diary of an Edinburgher

New toy...

JR had her double gym sessions this morning, I did my bike, and Jordan came to take Archie out. It was a lovely morning. And in fact, they met Rufus and his mum in the Hermitage, which is most unusual (Rufus doesn’t like to walk too far). Jordan is getting very excited, because his paternity leave is getting close and he's really looking forward to it. Though his wife is rather reluctant to go back to work and leave wee Isobel.

JR went for an eye test which took a couple of hours, but they haven’t changed much. I must do the same...

Archie and I went to the cafe. And it was such a nice afternoon, I took him down to the Meadows. They were mobbed with young folk - Freshers' Week - groups playing sports, music, strolling. An exciting time for them all. I hope they're all going to be considerate neighbours. I'm sure they are...

Watched the coverage of the Solheim Cup - women's version of the Ryder Cup. The Gleneagles course looked beautiful. It's a sport you can keep playing when you get older, though I only ever tried crazy golf.

And yes! I did order the new iPhone...

PS I saw this lovely sight, but resisted... (Extra)
